Membership Rules & Guidelines
Welcome to the pen gals community! We have established some important rules and guidelines to ensure a fun, safe, and supportive environment for all members. Please review these carefully to ensure you fully understand your responsibilities as a pen gal.
1. Women-Only Community
pen gals is a space exclusively for women and girls. Our community is dedicated to building sisterhood and fostering connections between women and girls, which is why, unfortunately, boys and men are not allowed to join.
If you suspect someone is violating this rule, report them immediately to the pen gals team.
2. Respect and Kindness

Treat others with respect. All members deserve a welcoming and supportive space, free from judgment or hostility.

No bullying or harassment. Discrimination, hateful speech, or rude behavior will not be tolerated.

Be patient and understanding. Pen pals may respond at different paces due to various life circumstances. Always communicate respectfully, and don’t push for immediate replies.
3. Privacy & Personal Safety

Do not share personal information publicly. This includes your full name, home address, phone number, or any sensitive information in your profile or public areas of the platform.

Use a P.O. Box if possible for mailing addresses. If you choose to provide your home address, remember that it's at your own risk. We recommend exchanging several messages through the platform before sharing any personal information.

Nicknames and aliases are encouraged if you’re concerned about privacy.
4. Trust & Security

Build trust with your pen gals. Only share personal details once you’ve established a rapport. Get to know each other first, and never feel pressured to share private information.

No impersonation. Be yourself! Creating false profiles or pretending to be someone you’re not will result in removal from the platform.

No asking for or sending money. The pen gals platform is meant for friendship and connection, not for financial transactions. Do not ask for, offer, or send money to other members.
5. Appropriate Content

Keep it positive and constructive. All written letters, messages, and media shared should be positive and supportive. We expect all members to maintain an environment that uplifts one another.

No inappropriate language or content. Explicit, offensive, or sexually suggestive language, images, or references are not allowed. We have zero tolerance for harassment or inappropriate behavior.
6. Communication Guidelines

Respect personal boundaries. Everyone has different preferences for how often they write or what topics they enjoy discussing. Make sure both parties are comfortable with the frequency and content of your communication.

No unsolicited advice or personal attacks. Be mindful of how you communicate your opinions or suggestions. Offer constructive feedback when appropriate, but avoid sounding judgmental.

Respond in a timely manner. While there is no strict timeframe for responses, it's important to respect your pen pal’s time by replying thoughtfully and in a reasonable period. If you can’t keep up with regular communication, let your pen pal know.
7. Reporting Issues

Report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior to the pen gals team immediately. We take all reports seriously and will act to ensure the safety and integrity of the community.

Flag content that violates our rules. If you see any posts, letters, or profiles that don’t comply with our guidelines, please flag them for review.
8. No Men Allowed
We want to stress again that this platform is for women and girls only. Boys and men are not permitted to join or participate. Any accounts that violate this rule will be immediately removed. If you suspect someone has misrepresented themselves, report them.
9. pen gals Code of Conduct
By being a member of pen gals, you agree to:

Engage in friendly, respectful, and meaningful correspondence.

Report any issues, concerns, or violations to the pen gals team.
Consequences for Breaking the Rules
Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in:

A warning issued by the pen gals team.

Suspension of your account.
-
Permanent removal from the pen gals community for severe or repeated violations.

In cases of serious breaches, such as harassment, threats, or illegal behavior, pen gals reserves the right to contact the authorities and take any necessary legal action to protect the safety of our members.
